New General information note in accordance with Company law changes (SI 2015/980). Additional statement on the Statement of financial position when excluding the Income statement. Accountant’s report changes:
See UK Micro-entity (FRS 105) Compliance Pack for more information about the specifics of FRS105 in Sage Final Accounts. These changes will take place when either a new set of accounts is created or you update to the new UK Micro-entity (FRS 105) compliance pack. |
Check set of accounts |
We’ve improved the validations to provide you more information to help ensure that the sets of accounts are both accurate and will create 100% compliant iXBRL files for both HMRC and Companies House. For example: The 2018 balance of Profit and loss brought forward is £3,000 does not match the 2017 balance of Profit and loss carried forward which is £4,000. You can drill into the balances to determine why a difference may have occurred. This new check set of accounts functionality is available in the latest compliance packs:
|
Create set of accounts |
We’ve extended the create set of accounts functionality to provide you further guidance. We’ve added an information icon to the options available when creating a new set of accounts based on the Micro-entity (FRS105) Compliance Pack. In particular, we now provide information on the options available for preparing dormant accounts and preparing filleted accounts. See Create and manage sets of accounts for further information. |
Nominal Groups | We’ve extended the Nominal Group summary to allow you to view all the journal entries posted to each nominal account. You no longer need to drill into each individual nominal account to determine what makes up each balance. You can now filter the data for each accounting period. See Nominal group for further information. |
Nominal Accounts | You can now drill into the comparative accounting period data for the first time. |
Journals |
We’ve improved the journal entry features so that we automatically trigger a save when you navigate away from the screen. If you choose to log out and we cannot save your journal, the data will not be saved and you will be logged out of the application. This a deliberate security feature. |
Import from CSV file | We’ve improved the functionality to provide a clearer workflow. See Import from CSV file for more information. |

We’re addressed a number of usability issues:
