Assigning a Date to a client
Each date type has an item within the Client Navigator. Double click on the item to view the details. A window appears which has one page:
Date type - This is the name of the Date type that you selected in the Type of date window in the Add New Date Wizard. You cannot change this.
Client - This is the name of the currently selected client.
Period - This is the period to which the Date type applies. Only the Date types which relate to the period type selected in the Show for box are available. The date ranges for Tax years, Period of accounts and CT periods are displayed e.g. 06/04/1996 - 05/04/1997.
The name of the Date type e.g. Action is displayed above Set to. You cannot change this.
Set to - You can enter a date for the Date type.
Reset to default of... - Tick the check box if you want to reset the Date type to its default value, which you selected on the Set default value page of the Add New Date Wizard.
Remind - This is not available in this version of Control Centre.
The second section of this window is a replication of the first. It is only active if the Date type was associated with another one on the Do you wish to associate this date with another date? page of the Add New Date Wizard e.g. if the Date type is Target and it is associated with an Achieved date. You can enter the details for this associated date here.
Remember: You can only change an existing date if your access rights are set to Modify only, Add and modify or Delete, add and modify.
