Administrator Menu

From the Tools menu, select Administrator. You will see the following menu options:

Option Description
Administrator Access Rights Gives the current user Administrator access to Control Centre. The Administrator password must be entered in order to gain this access. A tick alongside the Administrator main menu option indicates that the current user has Administrator rights. Also a star appears in front of the users name on the status bar.
Change Administrator Password Opens the Administrator Password window allowing the user to change the Administrator password. This change will then be applied whenever the Administrator password is required.
Delete Dataset... enables a user with specific rights to delete datasets. See Deleting a Dataset for further information.
Tasks Administrator Opens the Tasks Administrator window and allows purging of deleted tasks, adding, editing and printing reports etc.
ELS Messaging Administrator Opens the ELS Messaging Administrator window and allows purging of deleted messages, printing of reports etc.
Personal Tax Settings Gives a user with specific rights the ability to change settings within Personal Tax. See Personal Tax Complete Status for further information.
Control Centre Settings This option gives the user the ability to configure the way that Control Centre updates when new information is added for clients. For more information, please see the Control Centre Settings page.
PDF Settings This option enables you to specify a default path for the storage of any PDF documents you create. For more information, see the PDF Settings page.
Integration Settings

- When the option Automatically update report and correspondence names when integrated with Sage Practice Solution is selected, the report and correspondence names for the client will always be changed to the default value when Client Integration is enabled.

When the option has been cleared, the report and correspondence names will not be changed to the default values when Client Integration is enabled, regardless of whether the names have changed.

Online Filing Settings In v12.01 a restriction was imposed in the software to prevent more than one user on a network from filing returns online at the same time. To override this restriction, choose Online Filing Settings then clear the checkbox Only allow one user to file returns online at any time to allow more than one user to file online simultaneously. However, we don't recommend allowing more than one user to file online simultaneously as it can lead to returns being rejected and referred to HMRC to be resolved.
Report Settings If you have problems viewing reports, Annual Data Questionnaires (ADQs), or Data Schedules in the standard output format, choose this option then select the checkbox Produce Reports, ADQ and Data Schedules as PDF files by default to produce reports in the PDF format instead.
