Automatic Display
The task list can be displayed automatically when either Control Centre or a tax product is opened. This is controlled by a tick box shown at the bottom of the screen:
Selecting this option will ensure that the tasks list is automatically displayed when either Control Centre or any of the tax products are opened. If you prefer not to have the tasks list display when applications are opened click on this option to clear the tick box. The tasks list can still be accessed at any time via the Tasks button on the toolbar or via the Tasks option from the Tools menu.
The screen will be displayed in different states dependent on the application being opened.
- Control Centre - the tasks list will be displayed if there are active tasks outstanding for the current user. The list will display the view Tasks assigned to me. Please see Tasks for Current User for more information on this view. If there are no active tasks for the current user then the tasks list will not be automatically displayed on entry to Control Centre.
- Tax products - For any of the other tax products the screen will be displayed if there are active tasks outstanding for the client that has been selected. The list will display the Tasks assigned to the current client view. Please see Tasks for Current Client for more information on this view. If there are no active tasks for the currently selected client then the tasks list will not be automatically displayed on entry to the system.
