Tasks Toolbar

The tasks toolbar offers the following options:

- Opens the Add Task window allowing you to create a new task, assign it to a staff member and/or allocate it to a client. You can also add a status and deadline within this screen. See Add Tasks for more information.

- Opens the Edit Task window allowing you to amend task details, such as updating the status or deadline. See Edit Tasks for more information.

- Prints a report of the task that is currently highlighted within the list. If you wish to print the details of more than one task, you can do this by selecting multiple items within the list. You can do this in the same way as you would highlight items within Explorer: i.e. use shift+select to highlight rows of items that are adjacent, and use ctrl+select to  highlight individual items that are not adjacent.

- Shows a preview of the report for the task that is currently highlighted within the list. The report that is displayed will be what is printed if you select the print option. Once again you may select multiple tasks to preview using the same process as above.

- Allows you to email the details of the tasks currently selected within the list to another staff member. A screen will be displayed allowing you to enter an email address, or if you click on the magnifying glass icon your address books from Outlook will be made available for you to select an address from. You also have the option to select an address to Cc the email to. Once again you can select multiple tasks to email using the same process as for printing.

- Allows you to delete the tasks currently selected within the list. A message will be displayed to ensure that your selection criteria is correct. See Delete Tasks for more information. Again, you can delete multiple tasks at one time by highlighting more than one task in the list and using the same process as above.

- If there is a client attached to the currently selected task, and if that client is set up for a tax product then this button will be enabled. The icon on the button will change colour depending upon the tax product the client is set up for. You can see which tax product this is by holding your mouse pointer over the button, a tool tip will be displayed showing which tax product this is. You can then open the tax system for that client by clicking this button. Note: for Partnerships, the Business Tax icon will be available.

- This button will open the help page relevant to the screen that is currently in view.

- Closes the tasks list.
