Select a transaction

Use this window to select the transaction that you want to edit/insert in the grid in the data entry page that you are currently using. The transactions that are available fall within the currently selected tax year (which is displayed in the Details for drop-down list on the data entry page).

If you have selected a company and security on the Main detailspage of the data entry page, the Company name,ISIN code and Security description are all displayed. You cannot change the details in these boxes. All available transaction types are displayed in the list.

If no Company name, ISIN code or Security description is displayed, you must select a company and a security before any transactions are available in the list.

Select the first Lookup button (alongside the Company name box) to choose a company using the Company lookup window.

Select the second Lookup button to choose a security using the Security Lookup window. You can choose a company while you are using this window by selecting the Lookup button to open the Company lookup window.

When you have selected a company and a security all of the Transaction Types and the Dates on which they occurred are listed. Select the transaction that you want to edit/insert by highlighting it in the list and selecting the OK button or double-clicking the select mouse button.

If you select a Cash dividend the Cash dividend details window opens.

If you select a Unit trust equalisation distribution the Unit trust equalisation distribution details window opens.

If you select a Stock dividend the Stock dividend details window opens.

If you select a Narrative the Narrative details window opens.
