Overview

An overview of the steps involved in producing a Partnership Tax Return for a client using Partnership Tax.

  1. Viewing the Tax Return

Use the Tax Return Previewer and the Tax Return Navigator to view and navigate through a client's Return and choose options to decide how the Return should be displayed on-screen.

  2. Editing the Tax Return

Fill in a client's Partnership Tax Return on-screen by entering and editing information directly in the Tax Return Previewer. Learn how Partnership Tax can automatically calculate certain boxes on the Return.

  3. Managing Tax Return Pages

Delete individual pages from the client's Tax Return, make copies of existing pages or add new ones.

  4. Creating Multiple Sets of Figures

Create more than one set of figures for a client and choose which you want to display on the Return. Make changes to a set of figures whilst maintaining the original figures intact.

  5. Validating the Tax Return

Use Partnership Tax to validate the client's Tax Return according to HM Revenue & Customs' rules.

  6. Printing the Tax Return

Print out copies of the complete Tax Return or certain pages.

  7. Filing the Tax Return

Mark the client's Tax Return as filed and record the date.

  8. Saving Changes to the Tax Return

Save figures you have entered so that they are available to other users.

  9. Importing Accounts Data from Other Packages

Import the client's accounts data directly from your accounts package onto the Tax Return.

  10. Updating the Client for A New Tax Year

When you initially create a client, you set them up only for the first tax year for which you wish to enter data. In order to set them up for subsequent. or earlier, tax years, you must perform a year update.
