Producing Partnership Tax Reports

Reports provide a method of presenting information about clients in Control Centre. They allow you to see at a glance:

  • which clients have reached a given stage in the production of a Tax Return
  • which clients have certain types of annual data e.g. bank or building society interest
  • complete lists of all clients of particular client types

Example

You can produce a report that lists which clients have authorised their Tax Return or which clients have had their final Return filed with HM Revenue & Customs or a report which lists all partnership clients.

A report does not only list the names of clients but can also present other information about the client that you wish to include, such as their client code or telephone number.

Partnership Tax Reports

A number of reports in Control Centre are specific to individual and partnership clients. They are listed under Self Assessment Reports in the Report Generator. Clients are included or excluded from these reports based on whether a particular date has been entered for a particular tax year. For example, a client is included in the All clients with Returns filed report for 1997/98if their Return Filed date has been set for the Return for r that tax year. This date is set for a specific tax year when you mark the Return for that tax year as filed in Partnership Tax. Other dates, such as when the client authorised the Return, can be entered for each client in the Dates & Deadlines category in Control Centre. You can enter all dates that affect the standard reports in Control Centre. You can also create new date types and new report types based upon them.
