File Type

File type - This defaults to one of the following, according to the template that you have selected in the Name box at the top of the Template Editor window. It affects what is displayed in the Field positions section of this window.

• CSV

  Comma-separated variables - as used by Microsoft Excel and many Windows packages.

• Fixed

  Fixed-width ASCII file - as used by many DOS and mainframe packages or created when reports are printed to disk.
