Report Elements
Report elements are the different objects which you can place in each band. They determine what will appear in the band in the final report. There are three types of element that can appear on a Control Centre report.

Report information field
Label
A label is simply a piece of text which will appear on the final report, exactly as it appears during the design.
How do I place a label on a report?
Figure 5 - Example of a Label Report Element
The example above shows how a label would appear during the design. It would simply insert the text Client at the position of the element on the final report.
Data field
A data field is used in the Detail band of a report. It is used to indicate what type of data will appear in that column in the final report. In the Report Design window, the element contains a description of the type of data that will appear in the final report at that position. This data will appear for each client in the final report although only one element is placed in the Details band for each column when you are designing the report.
Set which type of data the data field will represent using the Datafield Properties window. You can also change the appearance of the data in the final report. This window will open as soon as you place a data field on the report in the Report Design window. You can re-open it later by clicking on the data field with the select mouse button, then clicking the menu mouse button and selecting Edit from the pop-up menu.

This window will open as soon as you place a report information field on the report in the Report Design window. You can re-open it later by clicking on the report information field with the select mouse button, then clicking the menu mouse button and selecting Edit from the pop-up menu.

You can place an image on the report using an existing image file, created using a graphics application. Once you have opened the file, the image is visible on the report and can be moved and resized.
