Open Dataset pop-up menu
Click on the dataset in the Open Dataset window with the menu mouse button to open the pop-up menu.
Open - Opens the dataset and displays its details in the Client Navigator.
Rename - Allows you to change the name of the dataset. Only the Administrator can rename a dataset, therefore a password is required. After you have entered a password, the Rename Dataset window appears with the current name displayed as default. Type the new name into the box.
Delete - Only the Administrator can delete datasets, therefore a password is required. When you have entered a password, you will be asked to confirm that you wish to delete the dataset. If you do confirm it, the dataset and all its files will be permanently deleted.
Note: Problems with the Client Count function in Sage Taxation can arise if you create more than one dataset and then manually delete one by deleting the directory or the relevant files in the dataset directory. You should always delete a dataset through Control Centre in the way described above.
New - Only the Administrator can create new datasets, therefore a password is required. When you have entered a password, the Add New Dataset wizard will open.
Properties - Opens the Dataset Properties window.
View - This option opens a sub-menu with the following options:
- Large Icons
- Small Icons
- List
- Details
- Show Available
These options determine how each dataset is represented in the Open Dataset window. If you select Details, the network and/or local path to the dataset is displayed for each. If Show All is selected, all available datasets are displayed, including those which cannot currently be accessed, for example, because they are on another user's local hard drive.
