Create Gift Aid Payment
Use this page to enter details of Gift Aid payments.
Gift Aid is a tax relief for cash gifts made by individuals to charities. The gifts are treated as having been made with basic rate tax deducted.
Payroll giving donations should not be entered here.
Enter where indicated:
- Charity name:
- Date payments commenced:
- Date payments ceased:
- Total Gift Aid payments for the year:
- Total one off Gift Aid payments included in total for year:
- Payments made during the return year but treated as made in previous year:
- Payments made after the end of the return year:
Enter the actual payments made. Do not adjust the amounts to include any tax suffered on these payments.
The above information will appear on your client’s Personal Tax Report at Return Preview and will be included in the Gift Aid Payments section of Reliefs. The amounts entered here will be included in the figures shown in boxes 5 to 8 on page TR4 of the tax return.
Select Save and Close from the Save drop-down menu, to save the information you have entered and return to Reliefs. Select Save and New from the menu to save the information you have entered and to open a fresh Create Payment page.
How do I get here? From the Gift Aid Payments section on Reliefs, click Create Payment.
