Restore
Before you begin
- Make sure all of your users have logged out of Sage Taxation.
- You will need to contact Sage Software Support to obtain a password to restore. If you plan to do the restore outside of Sage support hours, you can contact them in advance.
To restore your Taxation database
Restoring a database will overwrite all of your existing Taxation data. It should only be carried out by your System Administrator.
- From the Start menu, choose Programs > Sage > Sage Taxation > Sage Toolbox > Backup and Restore. The Backup and Restore window appears.
- Click Restore. A confirmation window appears.
- Click Yes. A window appears prompting you for the backup to restore. The most recent backup created will be selected.
-
Use the drop-down list to change the backup to restore. Click OK.
Tip: You can type the location of the backup file rather than choosing from the drop-down list. The backup file needs to be in a location visible to the computer running MSDE or SQL Server.
- You will be prompted for the Support password. Please get in touch.
- Type the password in the box on screen.
- Click OK to start the Restore.
- You will receive a prompt when the restore is complete.
