The turnover threshold for Self-employments is £77,000 for accounting periods in the tax year 2013 and later. This means that if the annual turnover of the business is less than £77,000, you can choose to complete the Self-employment (short) (SA103S) pages. You may also then opt to complete only Turnover (box 8) and Total Allowable expenses (box 19) on page SES 1 of the form. |
2012 |
The turnover threshold for Self-employments is £73,000 for accounting periods in the tax year 2012 and later. This means that if the annual turnover of the business is less than £73.000, you can choose to complete the Self-employment (short) (SA103S) pages. You may also then opt to complete only Turnover (box 8) and Total Allowable expenses (box 19) on page SES 1 of the form. |
2011 |
The turnover threshold for Self-employments is £70,000 for accounting periods in the tax year 2011. |
2010 |
For accounting periods in the tax year 2010, the turnover threshold was 68,000. |
2009 |
For accounting periods in the tax year 2009, the turnover threshold for the Self-employment (short) pages was 67,000. You also had the option to submit the summary information of turnover and total allowable expenses if the turnover was below £30,000. |
2008 |
For accounting periods in the tax year 2008, you could submit the Self-employment (short) (SA103S) pages or summary information of turnover and total allowable expenses if the turnover amount was less than £30,000. |
2007 and earlier |
For accounting periods in the tax year 2007 and earlier, the Self-employment (short) pages were not available. You could submit summary information of turnover and total allowable expenses if the turnover was less than £15,000. |
In all cases you always have the option to submit full standard accounts information regardless of turnover.
