Use trading pages
If a partnership has more than one trade or more than one accounting period forming the basis period for the tax year, the additional data should be included in the Partnership trading and professional income pages.
If you have not used Business Tax, and all details have been added directly into Partnership Tax, then you should add the earlier accounting period(s) or additional trade(s) by selecting ‘Add Figures’.
If figures have been posted from Business Tax, select the accounting period(s) ending earliest in the tax year and make sure the Trading Pages are used for that period.
When you file a return with trading pages, you create two sets of figures. The first represents the main SA800 pages, the second represents the trading pages. HMRC Special cases 2 and 3 prevent the online filing of more than one return of Standard Accounts Information for a tax year. Therefore where the partnership has more than one trade or accounting period forming the basis period for a tax year the additional trading and professional pages should be submitted as an attachment to the main return. See Special Cases and Exclusions for more information.
