Removing a partner from a partnership

There are two ways to remove a partner from a partnership.


To remove the partner from all tax returns for a partnership:

  1. Open the partnership's main details by clicking Details on the toolbar.
  2. Click the Main Details tab.
  3. From the grid, select the client to remove.
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click OK to save the change.

Note: If you have Sage Practice Solution and are using client integration, you'll need to remove partners from partnerships using Sage Practice Solution.

Removing a partnership from Partnership Tax is not the same as deleting a partner. Although the partner will no longer be associated with the partnership, they will remain available in Sage Taxation and Sage Practice Solution.

To indicate a partner has left or joined a partnership:

  1. Open the partnership's main details by clicking Details on the toolbar.
  2. Click the Main Details tab.
  3. From the grid, select the client to change start and end dates for. Enter the start and/or end date in the grid.
  4. Click OK to save the change.
