Licensing
When you first install Sage Corporation Tax, the software will be automatically licensed as a 30-day trial version. You will not be able to file any Company Tax returns until you have licensed the software.
You will see a message about licensing when you start the software. If you are already in the software, you can get this screen from Help > Licensing.
To license Sage Corporation Tax
- Enter your Sage account number, Practice name and Postcode.
- Click License now.
- Restart the program.
Tip: Enter your Serial number if you know it, but this isn't mandatory to license your software.
If there is no internet connection on the machine on which you are installing the software, then:
- Click License without an internet connection. This will open Offline Licensing.
- Click Create Licence Request File. This will create an offline request file and will save it to your desktop.
- Send the Request File to [email protected], We will create a Licence File and email it to you.
- When you receive the Licence File, click Load Licence File. An Open Licence File window appears.
- Locate the Licence File and click Open. The file will then load to Sage Corporation Tax and license the software.
Amending your licence
To change either the number of concurrent users or the number of clients, contact us or [email protected]. We will make the required change on your account. There will be no need for you to re-license the software.
Networks
If your computer is connected to a network, then you need only license any one of the networked computers. The other computers will automatically adopt the licence when you next open Sage Corporation Tax.
