Overview of Filing by Internet

Note: This topic relates to tax years pre 2008.

In order to file a return by Internet using Sage Taxation, you must

• Register the client for AFBI (Agent Filing By Internet) in the client's Main Details, on the Tax Details tab.
• You must register for AFBI at the HM Revenue & Customs web site at https://www.ir-portal.gov.uk/index.jsp
• The Practice's e-mail address must have been entered in Control Centre.

There are some cases that HM Revenue & Customs have designated as Special Cases. In these cases you may not be able to submit a return by Internet. See Special Cases and Exclusions for more information.
