Transmit to Sage Accounts Production Advanced
Before you can transmit data to Sage Accounts Production Advanced, you must ensure you have configured the Data Link to do this. Click here to find out how.
Note: Only a Sage Taxation client with a Client Code can be transmitted to other applications. If you want to transmit a client which currently has no code, you will have to include one in their main details first.
Transmit from Control Centre into the Data Link
To transmit data to Sage Accounts Production Advances, you need to select Transmit Clients on the Link option of the Tools menu.
This will open up the Data Link Transmit window where you can choose which client data you want to transmit. All the clients available for transfer from this dataset will appear in the left hand field. Using the central buttons move all the clients you want to transfer into the right hand field, then click the Transmit button.
Note: If you have your system configured to only transmit to an accounts production package, then individuals will not be transmitted from Control Centre, even if selected as they are not an applicable client type for accounts production.
This will copy the clients into the Data Link. Be aware that this does not mean they have been received by Sage Accounts Production Advanced yet. You have to complete the process from within Sage Accounts Production Advanced itself.
Complete the transfer in Sage Accounts Production Advanced
Next time you use Sage Accounts Production Advanced, you will need to receive the data you have transmitted from Control Centre.
To do this, click the Sage Taxation option on the Client Integration tab of the main toolbar. This will open the Client Integration wizard.
On the first page of the wizard, ensure that the 'Receive' option is selected, then click Next.
You will then be shown the default Sage Taxation transmission path. Under most circumstances, you should leave this unchanged. The only time you will have to edit this is if you have altered the accounts production integration paths on the Data Link Configuration window in Control Centre. If you have done this, you will need to change the path on this page to the path you have set on the configuration form. Click Next to continue.
The next page of the wizard contains two lists. The left hand list contains all those clients which have been transmitted to the Data Link. Using the central arrows, transfer the clients you want to load into Sage Accounts Production Advanced into the right hand list. Once you are satisfied you are transferring all the clients you want, click next to continue.
The final page of the wizard shows the list of clients you are transferring. By default, new clients will be made from these clients. However, if you want to synchronise them with existing Sage Accounts Production Advanced clients, you must untick the 'Create New' tickbox and click on the update icon in the rightmost column to locate the client you wish to update. Once you are satisfied that you have selected the correct synchronisation options for each client, click Finish to complete the transfer.
