The return you have attempted to poll has been marked for deletion and therefore cannot be retrieved. |
Sage Taxation is attempting to process a document that HM Revenue & Customs has marked for deletion. This error is unlikely to occur, but could potentially appear if a return is filed that does not complete, and is then re-submitted 30 days later. In this instance, at midnight on the 30th day the HM Revenue & Customs server will automatically mark the return for deletion as part of its automatic cleanup process. |
Retry submission after 30 days. |
2000 |
The document being transmitted does not exist on the system. |
This is either because the document identification information within the transmitted return is corrupt or in some other way invalid. This error code can also mean that the document has been deleted from the HM Revenue & Customs server by some other process. |
Begin submission for the return again. |

The Gateway is not receiving an acknowledgement of your submission within the permitted timescale. |
When transmitting a return the HM Revenue & Customs server imposes time restrictions on how long the calling application (Sage Taxation) has to respond to the servers messages. If a response is not received within a specified amount of time, the HM Revenue & Customs server will terminate the transmission. The main cause of this error is a slow internet connection or some event that interferes with the transmission process and slows it down. |
The HM Revenue & Customs' advice is to re-submit the return. |
3000 |
The processing of the document failed. Please re-submit. |
An interference has occurred with the transmission of the document, causing a problem with the messaging system between Sage Taxation and the HM Revenue & Customs server. |
The HM Revenue & Customs' advice is to re-submit the return. |

Most new mail servers include a Firewall. This can prevent certain emails from being submitted and received via the mail server. If your mail server has been recently updated, you may find that you are unable to submit returns via FBI (Filing by Internet). |
Ensure your Firewall is able to accept incoming and outgoing .xml suffix. It is important that you seek advice from your network engineer before making any changes to your mail servers or Firewall settings. |
