What is a Contact?
A Contact is a person with whom a client is familiar and is linked to in some way e.g. somebody they know and regularly contact at another branch of the company. Contacts must exist as Individuals in Control Centre. There are two stages in the creation of a Contact type:
You create a Contact type and assign it to your clients via the Add New Contact Type Wizard.
Then you fill in the details for any client that it has been assigned to using the Contact form.
Example
You could create the new Contact type Managing Director and apply it to all clients who are Individuals. As there is usually only one Managing Director in a company, you choose to make it unique. Mr. Paul Barton, an individual, now has the Contact type Managing Director available. You enter how long Mr. Barton has known the contact and the contact's personal details.
