The Ranges window is opened by selecting the Ranges button from the Client Select window. This window allows you to select a range of clients in the list in the Client Select window according to their client code or report name. This is done by specifying a range of report names or client codes for which clients should be selected in the list. Clients with names or codes outside that range will not be selected.

Select one of the two options from the option box to indicate which criteria you wish to use:

• By client code - Select clients whose client code is in the specified range.
• By report name - Select clients whose report name is in the specified range. Specify the range by entering the relevant data into the Start and End boxes:
• Start - Enter the first part of the code or name which will appear first in an alphanumerical list of the range of clients you wish to select.
• End - Enter the first part of the code or name which will appear last in an alphabetical list of the range of clients you wish to select.

 

Example

If you wished to select clients with client codes between AAR100 and HAR100 alphabetically, select the By client code option. Enter AAR100 in the Start box and HAR100 in the End box. Select the OK button. You do not have to enter the complete codes. You can specify a few or even a single letter if you wish.

Clients with client codes in the specified range will be selected in the list.
