Use this window to Add, Delete and Edit events that have occurred in the client's life which have important tax implications.
List of events
Date - When the event occurred.
Event - The name of the event. You select specific events from the Event drop-down list in the Event Details window.
Details - Information about each individual event. You enter these details in the Event Details window.
- This symbol indicates that the event involves another
person e.g. the currently selected client either married, divorced or
separated from another client in Sage
Taxation. If the client was married when they or their spouse died,
bereaved and date of death are also linked events. It also indicates that
the other person's Event Log
has been correctly updated with details of the event e.g. the details
of the linked event match in both clients' Event
Logs.
- This symbol indicates that the event involves another
person e.g. the currently selected client either married, divorced or
separated from another client in Sage
Taxation. It also indicates that the other person's Event
Log has not been correctly updated with details of the event e.g.
the details of the linked event in both clients' Event
Logs do not match. If you place the mouse pointer over an event
with a cross next to it a hint appears informing you what is wrong. Editing
and correcting an event with a cross next to it will automatically correct
the corresponding event in the spouse's Event
Log.
