Dates

The contents of this page depends upon the type of report that you are creating. This page is not available for the All Database Entries report. All clients in the database are included in the report, regardless of the tax years that they are set up for. You can still use the Client Selection page and the Filters page to exclude certain clients from the report.
Period end date range
This option is only available for Corporation Tax reports and the Clients with Forthcoming Year End report. You can choose to only include clients for whom the CTAP period end date falls within a specified date range.
If you do not specify a date range, clients with any period end date are included, providing they meet all other criteria for the report.
Tax Year
This section does not appear for Corporation Tax or Audit and Accountancy reports.
Returns in the tax year to 5th April - In the spin edit box, select the tax year to the 5th April that you wish to report on.
For Database reports, all clients that are set up for that tax year will be included.
For Self-Assessment reports, all clients with the relevant dates set or not set in that tax year will be included. (See First date and Second date below).
For Marketing reports, all clients with the relevant annual data in that tax year will be included. (See Interest page).
First Date
This option appears for Self-Assessment reports, Corporation Tax reports and Internet Filing reports. All Self-Assessments include clients on the basis of certain dates being either set or not set. This box gives details of the first date and whether it should be set or not set for a client to be included.
Example
For the report Returns Not Received From Client, the First Date box indicates that clients will be included in the report if the Return received from client date has not been set in Personal Tax or Partnership Tax, depending on theclient type.
Some reports allow you to specify a range of dates that the first date should occur between, if the client is to be included. This range should fall in the selected tax year.
Example
The Annual Data Requested But Not Received report asks you to specify the range of dates in which the Annual data requested date should fall for a client to be included.
Second Date
Some Self-Assessment reports also check if a second date has been set or not set for a client to be included. This box gives details of the second date and whether it should be set or not set for a client to be included.
Example
In the report, Returns Outstanding with Client, the first date, Return to Client for Signature should be set and should fall in the range of dates that you specify. The second date, Authorisation to File Received should not be set. The criteria specified by the first date and the second date must be met for a client to be included in the final report.
