Manage invitations
If your client is paying for their own subscription, they can invite you to that subscription so you can collaborate.

Invitations key features
Access Invitations from the main navigation bar.
This area is to request access to your client's SBC Accounting, Payroll or Sage 50 products.

How your client invites you to a subscription they pay for
There is some flexibility about how to access a subscription your client is paying for. This is a suggested procedure.
As the accountant, follow these steps:

In Client Management, select Invitations.

From Accountant access, select Find out how to request invitations.

A help panel will open with the following instructions on how to request access to your client’s Accounting, Payroll or Sage 50 products.
Accessing Sage Business Cloud products
1. Copy the unique link to forward to your client.
2. Ask your client to open the link and log in. They can then invite you to access their Sage Business Cloud data.
Alternatively, you can copy and forward your unique Accountant ID to your client for them to input.
Accessing Sage 50 products
1. Copy the Accountant ID.
2. In your copy of Sage 50, select Connected services, then Sage for Accountants, and paste in the code.
For Remote Data Access, use an Accountant or Bookkeeper user type that can create or manage users.

Your client should follow these steps when they receive the unique link or Accountant ID:
If you sent the special collaboration link

Your client should select the link. This will take them to the Invite accountant page.

Your client should select Next, add permissions.

From the Product dropdown list, your client should specify which product you should have access to.

From the Role dropdown list, your client should choose Full Access.

Your client should select Next, confirm invite then Yes, send invitation.

The invitation will be sent to you. Your client can continue working as normal.
If you sent your accountant ID

From the main navigation bar, your client should choose Manage business account then Invite Accountant.

Your client should select the Invite them using Accountant ID or check the status of your invitation link.

Your client should select Invite an accountant.

In the Accountant ID box, they should enter the Accountant ID you provided, then select Check.

If the Accountant ID is valid, your practice name will be displayed. If your practice name isn't displayed, please check with your client that you've provided the correct code and that they've entered it correctly.

Your client should select Next, add permissions.

From the Product dropdown list, your client should specify which product you should have access to.

From the Role dropdown list, your client should choose Full Access.

Your client should select Next, confirm invite then Yes, send invitation.
The invitation will be sent to you. Your client can continue working as normal.
As the accountant, follow these steps:

In Client Management, select My invitations.

In the Pending list, find the invitation from your client, then select Accept.

The invitation needs to be associated with a client in Client Management.

If you already have this client set up in Client Management

Select Yes and find your client in the Client dropdown list.

Select Accept invitation.

If you don't have this client set up
-
Select No and fill in the necessary information.

Select Accept invite & create client.

You'll now have access to your client's subscription.
If your client is paying for a subscription and you are now connected, you can disconnect from the Products tab in the client record.
