Our cookie policy

We use cookies to make our products more user-friendly and to allow you to have a seamless and personalised experience. They allow us to learn from your previous visits and tailor our products to your needs and expectations. Generally, our cookies don’t store sensitive or personally identifiable information. The data collected through these cookies can however be linked back to other information Sage holds on you, where you have a relationship with us or where you have otherwise provided personal information to us. This would always be done in compliance with applicable data protection laws and considering your consent and preferences.

At Sage, we decided to offer you the best user journey possible and therefore, we are asking you to consent to cookies only once for Client Management, Sage Business Cloud Accounting, Sage Business Cloud Payroll International, GoProposal and AutoEntry. This way, if you are using several products in this list, you only need to consent to our use of cookies and similar technologies once for these products.

Please note that where you use Sage products in other countries (e.g. if you are using Sage Business Cloud Accounting UK and Sage Business Cloud Accounting Canada) you are consenting to cookies for both versions of the product. You can find the cookie policies of products available in other regions in "Cookie policies of other products."

Your consent will be valid for one year, except if you withdraw it before. After one year, Sage will ask you for a fresh consent.

You can change your cookie settings at any time.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files which are transferred from our services and stored on your browser. The information stored about cookies can be about you, your preferences, or your device and is mostly used to make the product work as you expect it to.

There are two types of cookies, the first-party cookies, created by the product you visit and hosted by Sage; and third-party cookies, managed by third parties.

Cookies may be session cookies (temporary cookies that identify and track users within our products which are deleted when you close your browser or leave your session in the application or service) or persistent cookies (cookies which enable our products to “remember” who you are and to remember your preferences within our products and which will stay on your computer or device after you close your browser or leave your session in the application or service).

We use cookies that are strictly necessary cookies which cannot be deactivated. Where you consent to it, we also use Performance cookies and analytics technologies, Functional cookies, and Targeting or advertising cookies. Please consult the Section 3. “Detailed list of Cookies” to obtain more information on what cookies we use exactly.

What other technologies do we use?

By “Cookies” we mean “Cookies and similar technologies”, please note that the technologies listed below might not always be strictly known as “cookies”, we however apply the same consent rules to these technologies, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

We use cookies and similar software known as web beacons and tags to track where users have visited our website after clicking through from one of our advertisements on another website or in emails and to collect details of any products or services purchased and other key user actions and events. These web beacons and tags collect limited information which may sometimes include information which identifies particular users. It is not possible to refuse the use of web beacons and tags. However, because they are used in conjunction with cookies, you can effectively disable them by setting your browser to restrict or block cookies or by opting out of Performance Cookies.
